Component parts for steam boilers and turbines, shafts for higher temperature ranges.

Density [g/cm³]: 7.80

Normalizing
Temperature: 920-980^oC.

Stress Relieving
Stress relieving to remove machining stresses should be carried out by heating to 675^oC, holding for one hour at heat, followed by air cooling. This operation is performed to reduce distortion during heat treatment.

Austenization
Temperature: 920-980^oC.

Tempering
Tempering temperature: 650-750^oC.

Forging
Hot forming temperature: 1050-850^oC.
